Saliva samples in SARS Cov-2 virus detection compared to the nasopharyngeal RT-PCR findings and the clinical symptoms in individuals with suspected COVID-19 infection (BIOBANK)

It is not clear whether new quantitative SARS CoV-2 saliva tests correlate with the clinical signs and symptoms. Possible prognostic factor of the disease severity in testing would be of great clinical importance. Mitigation of the ongoing COVID-19 also requires continuous developing of reliable and accessible laboratory diagnostic services.
