The fees for data permits and our services are based on the Decree of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health on fees charged for the services of the Social and Health Data Permit Authority. The draft decree for 2027 is now open for comments.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has proposed raising fees in several fee categories. The aim is to bring Findata’s services to full cost recovery, as required by the Act on Criteria for Charges Payable to the State.
Fees for permit decisions would rise by around 30 per cent, and fees for data processing by around 90 per cent. A reduced fee category for data processing is proposed for researcher-driven research and theses.
Comments must be submitted through Lausuntopalvelu.fi by 1 December 2026. Comments are public and will be published on Lausuntopalvelu.fi and in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health’s project register.
