Recent methodological advances enable the use of polygenic information in studying complex traits like disease and social outcomes. While genetic vulnerability to many diseases is established, it’s unclear if these effects are mediated or modified by social determinants. This study explores the joint effects of polygenic susceptibility, behavioral risk factors and social position on morbidity, mortality and sociodemographic outcomes using Finnish cohort data linked with administrative registers.
