Cardiorenal and metabolic disease: Occurrence, patient characteristics and clinical outcomes – a population-based cohort study utilizing Finnish health care data sources – CALLA

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global issue reaching epidemic status. The most common risk factors for CKD are diabetes, hypertension, obesity and age. Other risk factors include a medical history of heart disease or a family history of kidney disease. The aim of this study is to provide modern and clinically relevant information about the rate of monitoring of kidney function in a broad patient population with CKD or at risk of CKD in Finland.
