Infections can result in long-term consequences including the development of “noncommunicable diseases” (NCDs) historically not considered to have an infectious aetiology. This GSK study will use serology to measure the levels of antibodies against specific pathogens to analyse the link between infection and NCDs from a genetic
and/or epidemiological perspective.
