Risk factors for tumors of the brain in children (RiFaTuB)

RiFaTuB is a nationwide register-based case–control study investigating risk factors for pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors, the leading cause of cancer death in children. Exposures of interest include medical and natural background radiation, air pollution, pesticides, and maternal exposure to medication and smoking. Cases and controls are linked to multiple registers to assess exposure-related risks while adjusting for potential confounders and sources of bias.
