Antibiotics, maternal metabolic and perinatal complications and subsequent risk for psychiatric disorders, diabetes and obesity in childhood and adolescence

The overall aim is to estimate the risk of neurodevelopmental and psychiatric diagnoses (here together called neuropsychiatric) after prenatal exposure to infection, antibiotic drugs or mothers with metabolic or major inflammatory disease. Such prenatal exposures have been associated with offspring neurodevelopmental disorders (mainly autism and ADHD). Little is known about associations between prenatal metabolic exposures and other offspring neuropsychiatric disorders and metabolic disorder.
